Paper Airplane to My Heart

My girls are still at the phase where they write sweet love notes (and the occasional note saying how much they hate me and want a new family, but mostly the former). I hope the notes continue forever. I’m not one to hold onto all the papers and things, but I’ll usually snap a picture to remember before it gets tossed.

The other day while sitting at my desk, a paper airplane labeled “The Starflyer”, complete with decorative flames, descended perfectly on my workspace carrying the following note:

“I’m hungry, is it lunch time? If it is can you get me what I had yesterday for lunch? I love you and thanks a lot for everything!”

Dear child, you can have whatever you want when you deliver me notes like that via paper airplane. You have my heart.

Also, I know that there’ll be better days and how not to make a tuna melt… “On a coronavirus day, nothing hits the spot more than a tuna melt.” Hmm, debatable, but hilarious.
