Bits and Pieces
Y’all, this guy grew and foraged everything he ate for an entire year. Granted he did this experiment in Florida where the weather is a bit more conducive to such an undertaking, but still. You guys, he even grew his own toilet paper. Taking notes…
This Children’s restaurant and concept store in Dubai is so sweet. Can we have more well designed spaces created just for the tiny humans in our lives?!? Please and thank you.
I used Costco’s ciabatta rolls to make these croutons for a caesar salad. So good and so easy! I also made a creamy caesar dressing from a recipe my mom gave me. Yummm!
I made a couple variations of this quiche last week. One combination I tried was ham, tomatoes, green onions, pepper jack, and colby jack, and the other combo was ham, spinach, green onions, mozzarella, and havarti. Gary preferred the spinach, I preferred the tomato, but they were both winners. I think I’ll make another variation for lunch today using the super beautiful dish my sister gave me for my birthday (made by my talented friend Kirsten, check her out!)
Now that it’s cooler out, we’re into making pizza on Fridays again. Everyone piles on their favorite toppings, it’s a crowd pleaser. I like to use this crust. Maybe someday I’ll be able to plan ahead enough to make a sourdough crust, but for now this one hasn’t disappointed.
The worst time to be alive according to science. I guess things could be worse, right??! Or at least different worse, as in, no sunshine for 18 months…
I found this line of beautiful hardware, Sun Valley Bronze, while picking up some hinges. Did you know high quality unlacquered bronze and brass are naturally anti-microbial thanks to the high copper content? Cover all the things in bronze!!! You can read more about the benefits here.
Stay safe out there, and spread a little kindness. The world needs it.
